Thread: What do we think of Trump's CACA negotiations?

Question What do we think of Trump's CACA negotiations?

There seem to be two competing points of view. Here is one:

    Here is another:
A group of House Republicans has drafted an ambitious immigration bill which offers a token amnesty in exchange for a deep reform of immigration rules to ease deportations, promote civic integration, end chain migration, end the visa lottery, build a border wall and raise Americans’ wages.

    IMO:

The house bill is a pretty good bill. The biggest problem is that the democrats will try to blow it all up.

Just authorizing a border wall will be a MAJOR win for Trump and it will demoralize and REALLY ANGER the retards in their base. They will primary or vote out any democrat who goes along.

So, they'll try to blow it all up, sit on their hands and stonewall, because they would rather have the issue than the solution and all the anger it will bring with it.

for the " border wall " all he needs to do is direct the army to plant toe poppers and emplace 155 battery's every 8 miles to catch the huge masses if they try to storm the mines.

The Goodlatte/McSally bill Sounds good. I don't consider that amnesty and it has the wall included, so Democrats will vote no on it.

I don't think Trump is serious about DACA really, it's all for show. That's why he keeps making offers to the Democrats that he knows they would strike down.

Tucker Carlson didn't understand the context of what went down. Trump didn't know what "clean DACA bill" meant.

I agree.. They CAN'T support ANYTHING with a wall. I will be shocked if they do.

Their base will go insane and vote them out. There will be suicides.

They just cannot do this, so it's just theater because the cameras were rolling.. and Trump was playing to that.

Trump's motive might be an attempt to keep moderate Republican suburban districts like GA-6 in tact for 2018.

Perhaps.. Some people speculated it was to make Wolff's 25th amendment argument look foolish.

Regardless, the dems will never sign on for a border wall.

Maybe he knows they will never agree anyway so he's trying to look reasonable?
