Cheap wireless card (NetGear WG311) did not want to play nice with Slackware. So after a couple weeks I finally did something about it. I downloaded and installed ndiswrapper then found the NetGear driver files and installed them into (or onto?) Slackware using the ndiswrapper.

The puppy (no not you Zara) is up and running.

Connected to the internet and did the whole upgrade thing:

slackpkg update gpg (only needs run during the initial use of slackpkg)
slackpkg update
slackpkg install-new
slackpkg upgrade-all

When the upgrades finished I had to run lilo (boot program) since the kernel had changed.

Then when presented with the option to over write old files did that.

The notebook, when I do an update, is slow downloading files, that rebuilt system was hauling ass.
