Booze destroys more lives every day than pot has throughout history. But... you can't tax it cause it literally is a weed, and grows like one too. In any backyard.

You want to live in a country with 50 blue states? And stoners running amok, turning every neighborhood into a Section 8 asphalt jungle?

    Well, I don't.

Furthermore, it should be pointed out that marijuana legalization has nothing to offer people who don't smoke it except for an infringement on their rights or even an endangerment of their safety, so any support from that crowd is virtually nonexistent. Legalization has always been a movement rooted in self-indulgence. It's exactly like those perverts who want to lower the age of consent or decriminalize child pornography.

youre wrong. I used to care not, either way. then I thought about it. I used to smoke pot. I don't think id smoke pot now unless I was the one picking the buds off the stalks and curing it. id be more inclined to smoke or eat hash or hash oil. heres what legalizing pot will do. no corrupt cop will be able to fail a pot test now because its now legal. not all cops who are corrupt smoke pot, but all pot smoking cops are corrupt.

I do want to say, for what it's worth, that I was never the kind of person to lose sleep over what someone else did in the privacy of their homes and away from others. It's only when they feel obligated to talk about (or even engage in) their lawlessness and degeneracy in a public setting (such as the Internet) that problems arise. Ironically, it's these people who talk about and expect privacy and protection from scrutiny/judgment regarding their vices. IMO, they waived their rights to privacy when they started boasting about their degenerate antics.

I also mentioned a long time ago that if weed can't be eradicated like it should, then if there's to be any sort of reform in the drug law, just decriminalize it so that if someone's caught with it, it gets confiscated and they have to pay a big fine earmarked for drug rehabilitation. If they get caught again, they get sent to the pokey. There needs to be some sort of accountability with druggies to balance out the net negatives they contribute toward society.
