    10,000 steps

Read a new study that the 10,000 steps a day is hogwash.

I average more than that thanks to David Sedaris and his book, https://www.npr.org/2018/05/30/61314...nd-the-sublime.

Could you maybe link the study instead of a book review, or just post a YouTube of Exit 57.

Seems a person with long legs works quite a bit more to take 10,000 steps than does a short leg person.

    10,000 steps x 3 feet per step = 10,000 yards or 30,000 feet, about 5 1/2 miles.
    10,000 steps x 4 feet per step = 13,333 yards or 40,000 feet, about 7 1/2 miles.

About 3% of the subjects dropped dead during the study.

Thanks. The extra steps can’t hurt in my opinion. Every mile burns about a hundred calories.

I just feel better if I’ve walked at least that much.

Just had this discussion with an ultra competitive person whos 8 inches taller than me.
I zoned out on the dispute, but I still ended up with more steps.
