Third American dead in Dominican Republic under mysterious circumstances.

A third American has mysteriously died at a hotel in the Dominican Republic. A Pennsylvania woman was reported dead last month just five days before a Maryland couple apparently died under similar circumstances. ...

The Pennsylvania woman’s family says she died from the same lung condition as the Maryland couple, but it’s unclear how they died, reports CBS News’ David Begnaud. The State Department and FBI are looking into the deaths. ... The family says [the woman] collapsed and died shortly after having a drink at the hotel.
Autopsy of the dead couple determined cause of death as "respiratory failure and pulmonary edema, a condition caused by excess fluid in the lungs."

These are also symptoms found in elderly with congestive heart failure.

The dead couple look to have been in their 40s-60s.

Come to find out, another two Americans have also died this year in DR but of different causes, making five total.

I think congestive heart failure is due to an underperforming or weak heart that can't pump the circulatory system effectively, allowing buildup of fluids. Old people are more likely to have it because they are a lot more sedentary. But two adults together having the same symptoms?

Brooklyn guest sickened at Dominican Republic hotel.

Drank a soda she says was sealed when opened, gagged on the contents -- bleach -- and spit up blood:

At first, Montes said, she bought the hotel’s excuse that the incident was an “accidental mixup” by a housekeeping employee — but now she has doubts.

“Now I’m wondering if it was on purpose, by a disgruntled employee,” who was angry with management or their own situation.

“There are times you’re on vacation and you’re lying out on the beach and you ask workers to bring you something,” Montes said. “There’s a lot of poor people working in this country, and they’re watching people day in day out who are enjoying their lives and don’t enjoy their own.”

The hotel offered to investigate the incident but never followed up to report the outcome, she said. “I want them to know that they could have done something to prevent this because they’ve known this since my incident back in October and they should be held accountable,” Montes said.

A rep for the hotel didn’t immediately respond to comment.
She implies rich peepo did it? Well, now she can sue the hotel for millions and become one o dem rich peepo responsible for this genre of deadly monkeyshines.

Another American tourist has died after he suddenly fell ill at an all-inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic.

Robert Bell Wallace, 67, became sick and urinated blood after he had one whisky from his room minibar at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Punta Cana.

His mysterious death comes as three other US tourists were found dead in their rooms in another hotel on the Caribbean island.

Miranda Schaup-Werner, 41, from Pennsylvania, died on May 25 after she had a drink from her minibar at the Bahia Principe La Romana.

Five days later an engaged couple from Maryland, Edward Holmes, 63, and Cynthia Day, 49, were also found dead in their room.

Dominican authorities said post-mortem examinations revealed they all died of natural causes.
    Awesome forensics, eh?

    What is going on here?

The more investigators delve into the mysterious deaths in the Dominican Republic, the more dead Americans they find.

They seem to be working back in time.

How many tourists have died under mysterious circumstances in the Dominican Republic? According to the State Department, Wallace’s death marks the fourth mysterious death of an American tourist in the Dominican Republic. But according to CBS News, there have been at least six tourist deaths in the Dominican Republic in the past year alone. Two of the deaths have been at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Punta Cana, while four took place at Bahia Principe hotels.
