Thought it would be cool to have one of these threads...

Anybody high on any particular investments these days?

I'm looking into possibly buying Citi and BOA...

A lot of risk, and a lot of potential reward, as I see it. I was going to buy Citi two years ago, when it dropped to $10.00, and then I chickened out. But I think there is still a potential for massive returns there...

Precious metals don't thrill me all that much right now. I need to start taking risks again.

What do you guys think? Anything you're hot on right now?

Still kicking myself for not buying Ford when it was $2. It went to 18 for a while. Not sure where it's at now. I was just going to toss a grand at it at the time. Would have been a nice little chunck of change there.

Citigroup just won an exclusive deal to issue credit cards in China. The Chinese tend to be frugal, though. It's a tough call...

That's part of my thought process. The government has spent too much money, and taken too much criticism, to not guarantee an ROI on these guys...

I'm not an investor but when my oldest [step] son turned 18 last year I took him to a friend who is an ****** Jones investor and opened an IRA for him with a $500 deposit.

The max he [you] can put in is $5k a year. We used that number over the last 30 years and he would now have.....up to $6 million dollars. I'm trying to get him to invest regularly and become independent of the government. What 19 year old kid worries about retirement? I gotta figure out a way to get him serious about this.

You can't make anything on IRA's these days. I'm sick of it. I need to get my money back into the market, where serious returns are possible.

Precious metals are a fine hedge, but I'm looking to make some serious scratch...
